In-Home Supports

In-home supports (also known as drop-in support) are flexible supports that come to you, fitting around your life, not the other way around.

Whether you need help for a few hours or more regular support, our team can assist you at home with everyday tasks, personal care, building daily living skills, or simply having someone there to support your routine.

Drop-in supports are ideal for NDIS participants who don’t need full-time, 24 hours a day support from a support worker, but still want reliable, respectful support when it matters. For example, a few hours in the morning and evening to cook and shower.

At Acorn Homes, in-home support is about more than tasks. It’s about choice, dignity, and being supported in a way that respects who you are, without assumptions or limitations placed on you.

Why choose us?

Respect, not assumptions

We actively challenge ableist thinking. That means no talking down, no taking over, and no deciding your limits for you. You stay in control of your supports.

Support that fits your life

We don’t force people into rigid schedules or one-size-fits-all models. Our drop-in and in-home supports are flexible and built around how you live, not how a system thinks you should.

Consistency you can trust

We prioritise matched, reliable support workers so you’re not constantly starting over. Familiar faces matter, reliability, trust, safety, and comfort come first.

NDIS Registered

As a registered NDIS provider, we understand the NDIS system and deliver evidence-based supports that meet all regulatory requirements.

Drop-in and in-home supports are typically funded under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan.

Community participation is usually funded through Core Supports - Assistance with Social and Community Participation in your NDIS plan. If you're unsure if you're funded for this, reach out to us by clicking the enquire button. Alternatively, contact your Support Coordinator or NDIA planner/LAC.

We respectfully acknowledge the past and present traditional owners of the land, the traditional custodians, and respect their culture and identity which has been bound up with the land and sea for generations.
